Aruba Wedding Policies / Getting Married in Aruba
Civil marriages are possible and are performed at the Office of Civil Registry. Couples can still arrange religious wedding ceremonies after they have been legally married either civilly in Aruba or by a civil authority such as a justice of peace or a municipal judge in their home state. Should you choose to be married civilly in your home state, it is requested to bring your marriage certificate with you. Proper Aruba officials must be informed in advance.
Aruba Civil Wedding Legal Requirements:Copies of birth certificate for bride and groom with a raised seal (state certification).
Passport picture page or valid state issued picture I.D. for Bride & Groom.
Witness (18 years up) passport picture page or valid state issued picture I.D. (minimum 2 witnesses) Local witnesses can be provided at $50 each by wedding planner.
Couple must obtain a document from the bureau of vital statistics or civil registry from their home state as proof that by their records they are both presently unmarried and are therefore free to be married to each other.
If either party has been divorced, a copy of the 1st and last page of the divorce degree(s) is required.
If either party is a widow(er), a copy of the pertaining death certificate is required.
All documents are to be emailed for review.
All copies will be submitted at the Office of Civil Registry.
Couple should bring all the original documents with them when traveling to Aruba.
The civil wedding planner will schedule a meeting with the couple on the day of arrival the the next morning to review the procedures and the original documents can be turned in.

Your Aruba wedding ceremony can take place in the late morning or early afternoon on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays. Saturdays are available in the late mornings at an additional $150 surcharge.
